Facebook 103: Navigating Facebook

In the last section of this tutorial we briefly mentioned a few terms such as “timeline” and “newsfeed.” This section will give further meaning to these terms as well help you navigate some of the other features that Facebook has to offer. After your account has already been created, every time you login you are going to land on your homepage, aka your newsfeed. 

Your newsfeed is specific to your account and is tailored by Facebook to reflect your friends, pages you like, and advertisements targeted to you. No one else has the same newsfeed! It will look something like this:

So, you’re on Facebook and you presumably have already found some of your friends on the platform as well. What’s next? Maybe you would like to let your friends know what’s on your mind.
